Curriculum

Alberto Scandola si è formato presso le Università di Padova e Parigi 3. Si occupa prevalentemente di cinema moderno e contemporaneo con particolare attenzione ad alcune figure autoriali del cinema francese (Jean-Luc Godard, Bruno Dumont) e alle questioni dell'attorialità e del divismo. Nell'ambito degli star studies, le sue ultime ricerche riguardano l'analisi dei modelli di mascolinità veicolati dal cinema hollywoodiano contemporaneo. Co-dirige la collana "Actors Studio" (Edizioni Kaplan), è vicedirettore di LIMEN (Centro di Ricerche sul Fantastico nelle arti dello spettacolo, Università di Verona) e membro di diverse associazioni del settore L-ART 06 tra cui CUC, SERCIA, AIRSC. Ha pubblicato sette monografie e una cinquantina di saggi in volumi collettivi e su riviste di eccellenza tra le quali "La Valle dell'Eden", "Bianco e nero" e "Acting Archives Review". 

Alberto Scandola received his academic education at the University of Padua and at the University of Paris 3. He teached Film Analysis at the
University of Nice (2001-2003) and History of Film at the University of Padua (2003-2004).  He's co-director of editorial series "Actors Studio" (Edizioni Kaplan) and deputy director of LIMEN (Center for Interdisciplinary Research on the Fantastic in Performing Arts, University of Verona). His research interests are centered on Performing Studies, Star Studies, Contemporary Italian cinema and French author cinema. He published seven books and his essays and articles have appeared in «La Valle dell'Eden», «Fata Morgana», «Bianco e Nero», «Acting Archives Review», among other publications.
